About Me!

Danica Mendiola is an illustrator based in Santa Ana, California. She is interested in the exploration of vivid colors, while instilling a fun, childlike wonder that people can resonate and find nostalgia in. She is particularly influenced by the early 2000s, retro-futurism, and old space concepts like The Jetsons and Disney’s Tomorrowland. As a result, Danica’s works are a culmination of her state of mind and everything she loves. She aims to create a light hearted atmosphere of joy and whimsy within her works. 

She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration at Cal State Long Beach, set to graduate at the end of 2025. Danica has worked as a mural assistant, creative designer, and creating public artworks for the city of Costa Mesa. She is continuously expanding her creative portfolio as she continues in her endeavors.
